FRC - The Highlanders FRC Team #4499

One of the main program we support is the FIRST FRC (First Robotics Competition) program. FIRST, stands for “For Inspiration and Recognition of science and technology”. FIRST Robotics Competition ( FRC) is a unique varsity sport of the mind designed to help middle and high-school aged young people discover how interesting and rewarding the life of engineers and researchers can be.

The FIRST Robotics Competition challenges teams of young people and their mentors to solve a common problem in a six-week timeframe using a standard "kit of parts" and a common set of rules. Teams build robots from the parts and enter them in competitions designed by Dean Kamen, Dr. Woodie Flowers, and a committee of engineers and other professionals.

The Highlanders are an FRC team, and are going into their 7th year. Over the years, The Highlanders have had over 150 students from over 10 different schools from the northern Colorado and Denver area. Kids on this team build robots to compete in the FRC Challenge. This team has won over 10 different awards, and is one of the only Colorado team that won the World Championship Finalist award for 2018. This program is amazing check out more below.
